Reaching the Arcane Barriers in Ramazith's Tower

The primary magical barriers are located in the lower levels of Ramazith's Tower during the third act of the game. To reach this area, players must correctly navigate the portal puzzle on the main floor to transport themselves downward. Once you arrive at the lower level, you will find legendary items locked tightly behind glowing spheres of pure magical energy.

Interacting with these structures directly will reveal that conventional weapon attacks and damage spells have absolutely no effect on them. Instead of trying to overpower the magic with brute force, players must search the immediate surroundings for hidden mechanism triggers. Bringing along a character with high passive perception can help you spot the interactive elements faster.

Locating the Hidden See Invisibility Levers

Each arcane barrier is tied directly to a specific lever located on the central structure of the room. However, the wizard Lorroakan has permanently turned these levers invisible to prevent thieves from easily looting his prized vault. To interact with these mechanisms, your party must find a reliable way to pierce through the magical concealment.

Using a See Invisibility potion or casting the corresponding level two divination spell will instantly reveal the glowing levers on the pedestals. Alternatively, players who accepted Volo's experimental surgery earlier in the campaign will automatically see these hidden objects through their prosthetic eye. Once the levers are visible, you are ready to proceed to the final step of disabling the security system.

Passing the Arcane Intelligence Checks

Simply pulling the levers is not enough, as each mechanism requires a successful Arcane Intelligence skill check to safely deactivate.
